Fit the mattress base (upper bed)
34 wood screws 3cm
Note: Please use TWO people to prevent scratching your bed.
Spread the mattress base out to full length on the floor, gently lift the bed base up
& over the upper bed frame, lowering down and around the internal vertical
support rails. There should be four mattress laths at each end of the bed (between
bed end and internal support rails).
Screw all the bed laths down EXCEPT the four bed laths positioned at the bed
entrance. (we will return to these once the ladder is fitted)
Note: Please ensure that the bed lath fitted nearest to the bed end is positioned
tight upto the bed end.
Fix the front safety panel
4 x 3cm bolts, 2 x sleeve nuts, 2 x long bolts and 2 x barrel nuts
Choose the bed entrance (lEFT OR RIGHT)
Lift the front safety panel onto the bed with the barrel nut holes (inside of bed) up
against the bed leg opposite to the ladder entrance end. Now fit 2 x long bolts
through the bed leg and into the barrel nut holes and at the same time connect
the panel to the bed entrance support rail using 2 x 3cm and sleeve nuts (sleeve
nuts fitted onto the outside face)
The remaining support rail (mid positioned) is connected to the safety panel using 2
x 3cm bolts into metal inserts that are fitted to the inside face of the panel.
Now tighten all the fittings (front panel and rear panel) as this will strengthen up the
bed frame
