6. Safety instructions regarding
batteries

Batteries must not be swallowed!
There is a risk of fatal injuries!
- Batteries may be fatal if swallowed, so this
article and its batteries must be stored out of the
reach of small children.
- Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, soft
tissue perforations and death. Serious internal
chemical burns can already occur within 2 hours
of ingestion.
- If a battery has been swallowed, please consult a
doctor without delay!
- Keep the batteries out of the reach of children.

- Never recharge non-rechargeable batter-
ies, do not short-circuit and/or open them.
This may result in overheating, risk of fire or
bursting.
- Keep the product away from heat sources
and direct sunlight, the batteries may ex-
plode if overheated. There is a risk of injury.

Do not touch leaked batteries with
bare hands! There is a risk of injury!
- Leaked or damaged batteries may cause
chemical burns if they come into contact with skin.
Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands;
therefore ensure that you wear appropriate pro-
tective gloves in this case!
- Only use type LR6/AA batteries from the same
manufacturer.
- Insert the batteries into the designated battery
compartment with the correct polarity.
- Do not use combinations of old and new batteries
or rechargeable batteries.
- Store batteries in a dry and cool, not damp,
place.
- Never throw batteries into fire.
- Do not short-circuit batteries.
- Disposable batteries also lose part of their ener-
gy during storage.
- Remove the batteries if the device is not in use.
- Discharged batteries must be immediately re-
moved in order to avoid battery leakage and thus
damage to the device.
- Empty batteries or used rechargeable batters
must be disposed of properly.
- Store disposable batteries separately from dis-
charged batteries, in order to avoid mix-ups.

7. Start-up
1. Remove all packaging materials.
2. Check whether all parts are available and un-
damaged.
If this is not the case, notify the specified service
address.
Inserting/replacing batteries (Fig. B)
Before using for the first time, batteries

must be
inserted.
If the light from the LEDs fades or the music becomes
quieter when the product

is used, the batteries

must be replaced.
For this, proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the product

(see “8. Use”).
2. Unscrew the locking screw

on the bottom
of the product

using an appropriate Phillips
screwdriver.
3. Unlock the battery compartment cover

by
pressing in the locking clip

4. Remove the battery compartment cover

5. Remove any depleted batteries from the battery
compartment

6. Insert the 3 supplied batteries

/ OR 3 new
LR6/AA batteries into the battery compartment

with the correct polarity.
7. Then close the battery compartment

in reverse order.
The product

is now ready to use.
Setting up the product
Set up the product in an appropriate place.
NOTE!
- The surface should be level so that the product
cannot fall over. The position should have suffi-
cient free space around the product.
- Sensitive surfaces could become scratched by
the product. Therefore, lay a protective blanket
underneath the product, for example.
Hanging up the product
Alternatively, you can hang the product on an exist-
ing hook on a cord.
NOTE!
- Make sure the position is suitable.
- Make sure the product is secured to prevent it
from falling down.
- Ensure there is sufficient free space around the
product in case the product starts to swing. It
could collide with another object and this could
cause the panes to break. There is a risk of injury!
- Ensure that the materials used, such as hooks
and cord, are appropriate for the load from the
weight of the product. If you are not certain, ask
a specialist.
8. Use
Switching on / off and activating snow
flurry/music (Fig. C)
The product can be operated in two modes when
switched on. To activate a mode, slide the ON/OFF
switch

on the back (bottom left) of the product to
the desired position:
ON 1: Light and snow flurry on
ON 2: Music, light and snow flurry on
OFF:
Product off
NOTE!
- The product has 8 Christmas melodies. If the
ON2 mode is selected, these 8 Christmas melo-
dies are played one after the other in a continu-
ous loop.
- No selection of Christmas melodies can be made.
- The speaker

is located on the bottom of the
product (see
Fig. B.).
Therefore, do not place the
product on a surface that is too soft otherwise the
sound will be too muffled.
NOTE!
If the snow flurry is not working, shake the product a
few times in a vertical direction.
9. Cleaning and care instructions

Before cleaning, you must remove
the batteries from the battery
compartment. There is a risk of
electric shock!
- only clean with a dry cloth
- do not use any strong detergents and/or chemi-
cals
- do not immerse in water
- store in a cool, dry place and protected from UV
light

11. Disposal
Disposal of the packaging

The packaging and operating instruc-
tions are made of 100 % environmen-
tally friendly materials, which you may
dispose of at local recycling centres.
Disposal of the product
The product may not be disposed of with nor-
mal household waste. For information on dis-
posal options for the product, please contact
your local council/municipality or your Kaufland
shop.
Disposal of the battery / rechargeable
battery
- Defective or used rechargeable batteries
have to be recycled in accordance with Di-
rective 2006/66/EC and its amendments.
- Batteries and disposable batteries are not per-
mitted to be disposed of with household waste.
They contain harmful heavy metals. Marking: Pb
(= lead), Hg (= mercury), Cd (= cadmium). You
are legally obligated to return used batteries and
rechargeable batteries. After use, you can either
return batteries to our point of sale or in the direct
vicinity (e.g. with a retailer or in municipal col-
lection centres) free of charge. Batteries and re-
