To reduce the risk or personal injury,
property damage,

shock when using electrical appliances,
basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
• Read all instructions.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles.
• To protect against electrical shock, do
not immerse cord, plug or any electrical
components in water or other liquids.
• Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
• A short power supply cord is provided to
prevent the possibility of entanglement or
tripping. DO NOT USE WITH AN EXTENSION
CORD.
• This appliance is provided with a grounded
(3-prong) plug to reduce the risk of electric
shock. The plug

ts only one way into a
grounded outlet. Do not defeat the safety
purpose of the plug by modifying the plug
in any way or by using an adapter. If the
plug does not

t fully into the outlet, have an
electrician replace the outlet.
• To power the appliance, plug cord into wall
outlet. To disconnect, ensure that the appliance
is OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
• Do not let cord hang over the edge of a table
or counter, or touch hot surfaces. Serious
burns may result from the appliance being
pulled o

a table or counter.
• Unplug the appliance from the outlet when
not in use, and before cleaning. Allow the
appliance to cool before putting on or taking o
ff
parts, and before cleaning/storing.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric
burner or in a heated oven.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug, or in the event the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any

• The appliance is hot while in use. Never move
the appliance while it is in use, or when it
contains hot oil or water.
• To avoid the risk of injury, never over

cooking pot with oil or water. Do not exceed

ll line. The maximum capacity at the

ll line is 12 quarts (11 liters). Do not fry
with oil below the MIN

stable and heat-resistant surface, away from
countertop edge.
