Maintenance - Cleaning the Washing Machine
Cleaning the Drum
If you keep using cold water in your washing machine, this may cause a build-up of bacteria inside the
drum, which can give off an odour. You can avoid this by running the “Self Clean” programme once a
month. When you use a scale remover, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Don’t put laundry in the washing machine during the drum cleaning.
1. Turn the Power & Programme Selection Dial to “Self Clean”
cycle.
2. Put the drum cleaning detergent and bleach into the
detergent drawer.
3. Press the Start / Pause button to start the cleaning.
4. The washing machine will sound when the programme is
complete.
Cleaning the Exterior of your Washing Machine
• Clean the outside of your washing machine with a soft cloth and mild detergent such as kitchen
detergent .
• Don’t splash water over the washing machine.
• Do not use cream cleansers, thinners or products containing alcohol or kerosene.
Cleaning the Detergent Drawer
1. Remove the detergent drawer by pulling and pressing the tail part of main wash detergent
compartment at the same time.
2. Wash out old detergent from the drawer with water. (Use a cloth to clean the washing machine.)
Residue detergent soon builds up if you don’t clean the drawer regularly, and can develop mould.

Cleaning the Door Seal and Window
• Wipe the window and seal after each wash to remove lint and stains. If lint builds up, it can cause
leaks.
• Remove any coins, buttons and other objects from the door seal after each wash.
