 Safety Warnings

When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be followed,

including the following:
•  Read all the instructions carefully before using the appliance and keep them for future

reference.

•  The blades and plates are very sharp, handle with care. Always hold the knife blade

by the finger grip at the top, away from the cutting edge, both when handling and

cleaning.

•  Always remove the knife blade before pouring contents from the processor bowl.
•  Keep hands and utensils out of the processor bowl or blender jar while the appliance is

connected to the mains socket.

•  In order to avoid a hazardous situation, this appliance must never be connected to a

timer switch.

•  Excessive strain may cause the motor unit to overheat and stop. Please don’t operate

this appliance for longer than 3 minutes. Wait for around 5-10 minutes for the motor

unit to cool. A safety protector in the motor unit prevents overheating. If the motor

unit stops, turn the appliance off.

•  Always switch off and unplug before fitting or removing parts, after use and before

cleaning.

•  For your protection, this appliance has an interlock system so the food processor won’t

operate unless you remove the blender jar and close the fixing hole with the safety

screw cap. The processor bowl needs to lock onto the motor unit and the processor lid

must be correctly locked onto the processor bowl.

•  Always lock the processor bowl or blender jar to the motor unit before attempting to

fit the processor lid.

•  Always unlock the processor lid before attempting to remove the processor bowl from

the motor unit.

•  This appliance will be damaged and may cause injury if the interlock mechanism is

subjected to excessive force.

•  Before removing the processor lid from the processor bowl, switch the appliance off

and wait until the attachment / blades have completely stopped.

•  Place the processor lid on the processor bowl in the right position. Both the motor unit

and the safety screw cap, processor bowl, processor lid and safety screw cap have been

provided with marks. Make sure the mark on the motor unit is directly opposite the

mark on the safety Screw cap, processor bowl and processor lid.

•  Thoroughly clean the parts that will come into contact with food before you use the

appliance.

•  Do not fill exceed the quantities and preparation times indicated in the table.
•  Do not exceed the maximum mark indicated on the bowl.
•  Never use your fingers to push food down the feed tube. Always use the supplied

pusher.

•  Never use any accessories or parts other than those provided with this appliance.
•  Never let the motor unit, mains cable or plug get wet.
•  Do not attempt to chop ice in this food processor; it will damage the processor bowl

and dull the knife blade. Only chop ice in the blender jar.
