Password Setup
Press the

SETUP
button in stop mode.
Press the

A password screen will appear. Press the number buttons to input the current password in

the Old Password box (If the password has not been set yet after you purchased this unit, it
is “8888”).
Press the number buttons to input the new password in the New Password box.

Default
It takes 3-5 seconds to reset the DVD settings to the factory default.
You cannot play DVD video discs rated higher than the level you selected unless you cancel the parental
lock function.
Parental Control Setup
DVDs are rated according to their content and some are equipped with a password function. The
contents allowed by parental lock level and the way a DVD is controlled may vary from disc to
disc. For example, if the disc allows, you could lock-out violent scenes unsuitable for children or
you could lock out playback of the disc altogether.
Press the

buttons to select Parental.
Press the

buttons to select Parental lock levels. The parental
lock levels are equivalent to the following ratings:
1 : Kid Safe
2 : G
3 : PG
4:PG-13
5 : PG-R
6 : R
7 : NC-17
8 : Adult
Press the

buttons to select the rating from 1 to 8. Press the
ENTER
button to confirm.
(Rating 1 has the most restrictions while rating 8 can virtually playback all DVD software.)
A password screen will appear. Press the number buttons to input the current password
