Body Analysis
A body analysis is carried out using the
measurements for body fat, body water and
muscle mass, as well as body weight. The
corresponding measurement bars are shown
on the display to indicate whether you are
underweight (U), normal weight (M), slightly
overweight (H) or extremely overweight (O).
Hints and Tips
Calculated results for the following groups of people may vary due to consistently
changing amounts of water and tissue density within their bodies.
• Children below 10 years old
• Elderly people
• People with a fever
• Patients with osteoporosis who have very low bone density
• Body builders or professional athletes
• Patients undergoing dialysis
• People with swelling
Getting the Best Result
• When taking a measurement, ensure you are bare feet. Align your toes and heels
correctly with the electrode on the scales platform.
• Weigh yourself at the same time of day, before meals and without footwear.
• Do not take a reading immediately after having a drink (especially alcohol) or after a
meal, taking diuretic medication, taking vigorous exercise and taking a bath/sauna
because they affect your hydration level and will therefore affect the accuracy of the
reading. You should wait several hours before taking a reading.
Maintenance
• Store the scales in a flat, horizontal position.
• Clean only with a damp cloth; do not use any chemical cleaning agent.
• If “Lo” shows on the display, replace the battery.
• If there is signs of damage, or cracks, remove the battery, do not use the unit, and
contact your qualified service agent.
