Tap on the arrow to the right of the field to display the list of Relay options and select the
appropriate one.
Timing
Two timing options are available for selections as follows:
o
Product relative
If this option is selected, you can set the Reject dwell and delay times to different values
for each product in the
Product Settings
screen.
o
Universal
If this option is selected, the Reject dwell and delay times set in this screen are initially
used for all products.
Changing the values in the
Product Settings
screen for one product will automatically
update the values for all other products and also the values set in this screen.
Tap on the arrow to the right of the field to display the list of Timing options and select
the appropriate one.
Reject delay
This field is used to set the time in seconds between a contaminated product being detected
and it being in the correct position on the conveyor belt for rejection. The value set relates to
the current running product. The Reject delay time can also be set for each product in the
Product Settings
screen.
Although the Reject delay timings may be calculated mathematically using the length of the
product, the speed of the belt and the distance between the point of detection and the reject
device, carrying out practical testing with representative products and varying the timing will
enable you to obtain the best results.
Tap in the field to display a pop-up numeric keypad and enter the timing value required.
Reject dwell
This field is used to set the time in seconds required for the reject device to remove the
contaminated product from the belt. The value set relates to the current running product. The
Reject dwell time can also be set for each product in the
Product Settings
screen.
As for the determining the correct Reject delay time to use, carrying out practical testing with
representative products and varying the timing will enable you to obtain the best results.
Tap in the field to display a pop-up numeric keypad and enter the timing value required.
Consecutive rejects
This feature can be used to trigger a fault and stop the machine when a set number of packs
are rejected consecutively.
Tap in the field to display a pop-up numeric keypad and enter the number of packs to be used
by the system or leave the value at its default ‘0’ – zero setting to disable this feature.
Bin full
Enable this option if a bin full sensor has been fitted to your system. This sensor is fitted
inside the bin towards the top. As contaminated products stack up inside the bin, once they
break the sensor beam a system fault is generated to warn the operator that the bin must be
emptied.
