The User Interface

A number panel displays the total number of products for a batch that
have been passed through the machine for inspection and have been
found to be free from any contaminants.
This feature relies on a Product Registration Photo-eye being fitted to
your system to count the total number of products passed through the
machine for inspection.
Selecting the Tick displays the
Batch Reset
screen to allow you to
reset the current batch number to zero.
A number panel displays the total number of products for a batch, that
have been passed through the machine for inspection and have been
rejected as they contain contaminants.
Again this feature relies on a Product Registration Photo-eye being
fitted to your system to count the total number of products passed
through the machine for inspection.
Selecting the Trash Can displays the
Batch Reset
screen to allow you
to reset the current batch number to zero.
The current machine date and time is displayed below the reject count.
You should ensure that this is accurate at all times for reporting
purposes.
You can change the date and time if required through the Calendar
screen. See the
Setting the Time and Date
section.
Located in the centre of the screen, the product signal dial displays the
real-time signal level being received for the product that is currently
being inspected, with the pointer moving around the dial as the signal
level changes; much like the speedometer in your car when you speed
up or slow down.
The 'black' coloured numbers on the dial specify the acceptable signal
range within which a product is classed as being contaminant free and
passes inspection.
The 'black' coloured numbers end at a thick 'red' line on the dial which
is known as the Threshold. This indicates the signal level, specified
either automatically by the machine through a Learn process or
manually through the Threshold screen, at which the product is
considered to contain a contaminant and is therefore rejected.
The 'red' coloured numbers on the dial appear after the Threshold and
therefore specify the unacceptable signal range within which a product
is classed as containing a contaminant and is rejected.
You can change the appearance of the Main Run screen, such as the
background and button colours, through the
Appearance Settings
screen.
You can also replace the signal dial with a signal plot (trace) which has
similar functionality to the dial but in addition shows a few seconds of
product data allowing, allowing you to catch rejects that might
otherwise be missed.
