4.10 Flywheel, ignition coil

Disassembly/Reassembly
<Starting motor>
. Remove the igniting coil before
removing flywheel
. Don
’t hit the flywheel with a
hammer. Remove as shown on
the drawing with a special tool.
Flywheel puller
Reassembly:
Degrease
the
crankshaft taper face and flywheel
hole, then assemble.
Starting motor type:
Start the motor, and measure motor
operation performance, if the operation
performance is not within the maintenance,
disassemble

Woodruff key
After assembling,
check to be sure
that the woodruff
key is still in its
slot
on
the
crankshaf
t.

Igniting coil
Caution: When servicing, take care not
to damage the fan blades.
Reassembly:
Assemble
the
fan,
aligning the four lugs on the back of the
fan with the small holes in the flywheel.
Cooling fan
Assemble, aligning the lugs on the starting
cup with the small holes in the flywheel
center
Starter Pulley
Assembly:
Check for cracked or
damaged insulation,
replace if necessary.
Bolt: M6

Torque: (8~12

Flywheel
M14 hexagon flange nut
80-90N.m (Apply engine
oil on the thread.)
Disassembly/reassembly:
Insert a screwdriver or
another tool into the hole
of starter pulley to prevent
flywheel from rotating.
Bolt: M6
