Changing the Camera Address Settings
The DIP switches inside the camera (1~10) can be changed to set a unique address for the
camera (between 1~255). By default, the camera is set to channel 1.
• If using a single camera, the address does not need to be changed. Refer to the Hardware
Manual for the Observation System for camera channel placement and configuration.
• If using multiple cameras, each camera must be set to a unique address using the internal
DIP switches.

Note:
Make sure the camera is powered off before changing the DIP switches.
To access the DIP switches:
1. Open the soft plastic cover on the back of the camera. A 10-pin DIP switch, SW9/10 is
visible.

2. Set the DIP switches (ON is down; OFF is up) using a paperclip or other pointed tool. Set the
communication protocol as below:

3. Use the DIP Switch Address Chart to set DIP switches 1~8 to the desired address.
