5. At the base of the seat back rest, push
forward the middle of the lower per-
forated section of the rear cabin panel
carpet indicated by the symbol to
expose the tether loop bracket. Feed the
tether through the loop.
6. Hook the end of the tether into the
mounting eye*.

Mounting eyes are located at the rear end
of both the driver and front passenger
seat inboard mounting rails, if fitting
the tether strap to the passenger side
of the rear seat then hook the end of the
tether strap into the front passenger
seat mounting eye. If fitting the tether
to the drivers’ side of the rear seat then
hook the end of the tether strap into the
drivers’ seat mounting eye.
3. Pull forward the upper perforated
section of the rear cabin panel carpet to
expose the tether tube.
4. Loop the tether around the tether tube
using the recess available. Route the
tether over the top of the seat back and
then fit the seat back into position onto
the rear cabin panel.
Fitting Procedure
Both outer sides of the rear seat back are
retained to the cabin panel with plastic
serrated edged panel clips. It is also held
centrally using 3 ‘hook’ type brackets.
1. Partially remove the rear seat back by
first pulling it carefully from the left and
right hand outer sides to release the fir-
tree fixings from the cabin.
2. Once released from the sides, lift the
seat back slightly upwards and then
towards you so releasing it from the
central brackets.
The seat back can now be moved forward to
gain access to the top tether tube running
across the cabin which is identified by the
adjacent symbol.
