Important Safety Instructions: (Save These Instructions)
– This manual contains important instructions for the UPS6LI Series UPS that should be followed during
installation and maintenance of the UPS
CAUTION! (UPS having Internal Batteries):
Risk of electrical shock – Hazardous live parts inside this unit are
energized from the battery supply even when the input AC power is disconnected.
CAUTION! (No User serviceable Parts):
Risk of electrical shock, do not remove cover. No user serviceable parts
inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
CAUTION! (Non-isolated Battery supply):
Risk of electric shock, battery circuit is not isolated from AC input,
hazardous voltage may exist between battery terminals and ground. Test before touching.
WARNING!
Unit intended for installation in a controlled environment.
CAUTION!
Do not dispose of batteries in a fire, the battery may explode.
CAUTION!
Do not open or mutilate the battery, released electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes.
CAUTION:
A battery can present a risk of electrical shock and high short-circuit current. Contact with any part of
a grounded battery can result in electrical shock. The following precautions should be observed when working on
batteries:
a)
Remove watches, rings, or other metal objects.
b)
Use tools with insulated handles.
c)
Wear rubber gloves and boots.
d)
Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries.
e)
Disconnect charging source and load prior to installing or maintaining the battery.
f)
Remove battery grounds during installation and maintenance to reduce likelihood of shock.
Remove the connection from ground if any part of the battery is determined to be grounded.

This is a category C2 UPS product. In a residential environment, this product may cause radio
interference, in which case the user may be required to take additional measures.

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device,
pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against
harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment
generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment
in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct
the interference at his own expense.

void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect the UPS from the main supply before installing a computer inter-
face signal cable. Reconnect the power cord only after signaling interconnections have been made.
Servicing of batteries should be performed or supervised by personnel with knowledge of batteries and the
required precautions. Keep unauthorized personnel away from batteries.
