Remark
When the tube compensation is activated, the device calculates
the tracheal pressure at the Y-piece before the tube and the pres-
sure is displayed by an additional curve.

Instant View window
The following measurement values and the corresponding alarm limits are dis-
played in the Instant View window by default:
• Respiratory rate: RR
•
Expiratory tidal volume: VTe
•
Expiratory minute volume: MVe
• Peak pressure of the last breath: PEAK
• Plateau pressure: P Plateau
•
Positive end-expiratory pressure: PEEP
•
Leakage in %
•
Oxygen concentration: O
2
• End-tidal CO

In addition to the numeric values, colour codes are used to alert the user to
measurements approaching alarm limits.
A value currently stabilising is displayed on a white background.
If a measured value reaches or exceeds an alarm limit, the display field of the
measured value turns red and the appropriate alarm is triggered. A measurement
value getting close to a defined alarm limit is identified by an orange display field.
The threshold values of the individual alarm limits are summarised in the follow-
ing table:
