About this manual
These instructions for use describe the
pulse oximetry
and the
LeoClac
functions.
The manufacturer reserves the right to further develop the functions and/or car-

If you intend to use the pulse oximetry function of intensive care ventilators elisa
600 - elisa 800 (VIT), you will need the
XPOD SpO
2
sensor adapter
and a
Nonin finger sensor.
The
LeoClac
function can only be employed in combination with
pulse oxime-
try
(SpO
2
measurement).

2.1
Intended use
The XPOD SpO
2
sensor adapter is intended for non-invasive spot-checking and/
or continuous monitoring of the oxygen saturation of arterial blood (oximetry)
and the heart rate (pulse) of adult and paediatric patients using the Nonin finger
sensors.
Use only the Nonin SpO
2
finger sensors with the XPOD SpO
2
sensor adapter
(see separate list of accessories for the intensive care ventilator).
Warning
The XPOD SpO
2
sensor adapter may only be operated in con-
junction with the intensive care ventilators elisa 600 – elisa 800
(VIT).
Remark
Pulse oximetry is only available for the patient categories “Adults”
and “Children“.
