General operations
5.1.2.1
Open/close windows
The intensive care ventilator is controlled via the capacitive multi-touch display
screen. Windows or menus are opened by touching the appropriate button.
You close windows by selecting the X button or the Home button.

Confirmation (Enter)
Changes, such as entering a parameter, changing the ventilation mode or starting
and stopping a function, must always be confirmed with the Enter button. In this
case, the Enter button is coloured and blinks.

Edit parameters
To change a parameter, select the corresponding button.
The selector is shown on
the right-hand side of the screen. Turn the selector by swiping to the new value
and confirm the selection with the Enter button.
To cancel the input and return to the main screen, press the button of the se-
lected parameter once again or touch the screen anywhere outside the selector.

Selector
You open the selector by selecting an editable parameter.
The selector displays the following information and can be used for the following
operations:
A
Selection by vertical swipe over the displayed numerals
B
Selection by vertical swipe on the side bar for faster scrolling (selected in
Figure 2)
C
Currently selected value
D
Coloured marker identifying a threshold to a critical range
E
Indication of the magnitude of the available range of values and of the position
within this range
F
“Critical” range of values (Figure 3), displayed with a different colour.
