3. Installation/Putting into operation
Read this chapter and observe the safety instructions before installing the
MultiPress S and putting it into operation. This is the only way to
guarantee the correct functioning and safe operation of the MultiPress S.
Ambient conditions
Observe the following installation and ambient conditions (see also
Chapter 10‚ "Technical Data", on page 67).
•
Operate the machine in dry rooms only.
•
Protect machine from splash water.
•
Protect the 230 V mains power supply with a C 16 A fuse.
•
Install machine only on a working surface of at least 250 kg (441 lbs).
•
Ensure at least 15 cm (38") of free space on all sides of the press.
Required tools and materials
•
Material for supporting the press during the dismounting of the
shipping braces, e. g. three pieces of squared timber (15 cm x 15 cm
x 60 cm)
•
To position the press on the benchtop, a mobile crane or a lifting
device having a minimum carrying capacity of 250 kg is required.
3.1 Building up the machine
The machine is secured on the pallet with shipping braces and is
delivered in several individual parts.
Keep all packaging materials and reuse them the next time the machine
is transported.
Tip:
If no mobile crane is available, we recommend the use of a
mobile work table, which can be placed under the lifted
MultiPress S.
