OC-12 Intershelf Parallel Telemetry Cabling
NOTE:
Perform the following procedure for multing the other shelves to shelf 1. The
cable added in this procedure is to mult parallel telemetry from other shelves in a
bay to shelf 1. In this procedure shelf 1 will be connected to shelf 2, shelf 2 con-
nected to shelf 3, etc.
NOTE:
for parallel telemetry in a shelf other than shelf 1 to be reported, all parallel
telemetry cable mults between that shelf and shelf 1 must be in place. Do not
skip any shelves.
(1) Connect the Group 218 or 219 parallel telemetry cable P221 of each shelf to the
Group 220 or 221 parallel telemetry mult cable J221 of the shelf below it per
Figure 3-11 on page 3-56.
NOTE:
These cables were previously connected to the backplanes and routed to the
front of the shelves.
(2) Repeat for each additional shelf in the bay.
(3) Dress and secure all cables in the bay.
OC-3/OC-12 Bay Intershelf Parallel Telemetry Cabling
(1) for a DDM-2000 OC-3/OC-12 combined bay application where the DDM-2000
OC-3 shelf (or shelves) parallel telemetry is to be multed to the DDM-2000
OC-12 shelf, connect the ED-8C727-21, Group 220 parallel telemetry mult
cable J254 of the DDM-2000 OC-12 shelf to the ED-8C724-21, Group 421 par-
allel telemetry cable P254 of the DDM-2000 OC-3 shelf mounted directly above
the DDM-2000 OC-12 shelf per Figure 3-12 on page 3-57.
NOTE:
Multing between additional DDM-2000 OC-3 shelves in the bay is covered in
363-206-204,

(2) Dress and secure all cables in the bay.
