Powering, Verification, and Circuit Pack Installation for the DDM-2000 OC-12 Multiplexer

BBF2B/BBF2C/BBF4 TGS Circuit Packs

The BBF2B, BBF2C and BBF4 TGS circuit packs have two option switches for
assigning the following:

DS1 line code (AMI or B8ZS)

Frame format (superframe or extended superframe)

Timing format (external, free running, or line-timed)

DS1 output (derive or do not derive, sync out from received OC-12 optical line)

Equalization (set equalization for DS1 output cable length).

(1) Set the TGS circuit pack option switch per customer engineering records or

requirements as shown in Figure 5-8 on page 5-27.

(2) Place, but do not fully install, the TGS circuit pack into the shelf.

After being In holdover mode for 24 hours the BBF2B/BBF4 TGS will gradually return to
its free running accuracy of ±15 parts-per-million and the BBF4 will gradually return to
its free running accuracy of ±4.6 parts-per-million (Stratum 3).

23G-U OLIU

The 23G-U OLIU has no customer set options.

Place, but do not fully install, the 23G-U OLIU circuit packs into the Main B circuit pack
positions of the DDM-2000 OC-12 shelf.

23H-U OLIU

The 23H-U OLIU has no customer set options.

Place, but do not fully install, the 23H-U OLIU circuit packs into the Main B circuit pack
positions of the DDM-2000 OC-12 shelf.

21G3-U OLIU

The 21G3-U OLIU circuit pack has no customer set options.

Place, but do not fully install, the 21G3-U OLIU circuit packs into the function unit circuit
pack positions of the DDM-2000 OC-12 shelf.

21D-U OLIU

The 21D-U OLIU circuit pack has no customer set options.

Place, but do not fully install, the 21D-U OLIU circuit packs into the function unit circuit
pack positions of the DDM-2000 OC-12 shelf.
