NOTE:
A Group 226 or 227 TBOS mult cable is not attached to J72 if the shelf is
the bottom shelf in a bay.
NOTE:
All front access cabling to be connected to the DDM-2000 OC-12 back-
plane will be routed through the space below the shelf.
(6) Connect a Group 150 shelf power cable to terminal strip J25 on the DDM-2000
OC-12 backplane, per the following:
(7) Dress and tie the front access cables per Figure 3-2 on page 3-47.
(8) Temporarily tie the loose ends of these cables in such a way that they extend
beyond the front of the shelf.
(9) Verify that the cables have been connected without bending or touching any
backplane pins.
(10)Attach the backplane cover to the shelf.
OC-12 Shelf Installation
NOTE:
The special mounting screws provided with the DDM-2000 OC-12 shelves must
be used when mounting the shelves to ensure proper grounding to the frame.
(1) Mount the DDM-2000 OC-12 shelves, fan shelves, and heat baffles in the bay
frame, referring to Figure 3-5 on page 3-50 and Figure 3-6 on page 3-51, leav-
ing room for cables as shown. Use the hardware provided in the installation kits
to mount the shelves and baffles. When installing fan shelves, refer to the “Fan
Shelf Installation” procedure.
