Stand-Alone (Local) Installation Tests for the DDM-2000 OC-12 Multiplexer

Login Procedure
(1) Connect one of the approved terminals (properly configured) to an EIA-232D
port on one of the DDM-2000 OC-12s in the bay.
NOTE:
If properly cabled, connection to any EIA-232D in the bay will allow communica-
tion to any shelf in the bay.
(2) Press the Return (or Enter) key (twice for Releases 5 and 7) to prompt the
DDM-2000 OC-12 to request a shelf address.
The DDM-2000 OC-12 will respond:

NOTE:
The default shelf is the one physically connected to the CIT.
(3) Enter a valid shelf number.
The shelf returns with a login

prompt.
NOTE:
A return/enter at this point will log you into the shelf as a general user which will
not allow execution of privileged user commands that will be necessary. Be sure
to use the following default login and password to log into the shelf as a privi-
leged user. The login and password must be entered in uppercase as shown.
(4) Enter
LUC01;
The shelf will then return with a password < prompt.
(5) Enter
DDM-2000;
After a successful login the DDM-2000 OC-12 will display the system header fol-
lowed by the alarm and status report:
