(14)At the RT, disconnect one of the power feeds (either A or B) to the fan shelf by
disconnecting one of the connectors of the fan power cable from its mate on the
bay power cable.
(15)At the RT, verify that the POWER FAULT LED lights on the fan shelf and the MN
alarm and NE ACTY LEDs light on the DDM-2000 OC-12 shelf user panel.
(16)At the CO, verify the MN and FE ACTY LEDs are lighted.
(17)At the CO, while remotely logged in at the RT, perform a
rtrv-alm
command
and verify that the “environmental #14” alarm appears in the alarm and status
report.
(18)At the RT, reconnect the disconnected fan power cable connector. Depress the
RESET button on the fan shelf and verify that the POWER FAULT LED extin-
guishes on the fan shelf and the MN and NE ACTY LEDs on the DDM-2000
OC-12 shelf user panel extinguish.
(19)At the CO, verify the MN and FE ACTY LEDs extinguish.
(20)At the RT, set the MN alarm closure (this is usually set by a failure of non-DDM
equipment, like removing a fuse from the fuse unit).
(21)At the RT, verify the MN and NE ACTY LEDs are lighted.
(22)At the CO, verify the MN and FE ACTY LEDs are lighted.
(23)At the CO, while remotely logged in at the RT, perform a
rtrv-alm
command
and verify that the “minor” alarm appears in the alarm and status report.
(24)At the RT, remove the minor alarm failure.
(25)At the RT, verify the MN and NE ACTY LEDs extinguish.
(26)At the CO, verify the MN and FE ACTY LEDs extinguish.
(27)Terminate the remote login to the RT with the
logout
command

Central Office Toward the Remote Terminal Telemetry
Test
(1) At the CO, provide a closure between miscellaneous input #1 and input com-
mon.
(2) At the RT, verify a closure is observed between miscellaneous output #1 and
output common.
(3) At the CO, remove the closure between miscellaneous input #1 and input com-
mon.
(4) At the RT, verify that removal of the closure is observed.
(5) Repeat for each CO miscellaneous input cabled (#2 to #4).
