The handset does not need to be located with the base except for
charging. For best coverage, place the base in a central loca-
tion (see the figure below), and avoid metal objects which are in
the line of sight to the operating area of the handset.

NOTE:
If Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) is experienced, moving
the base to a higher level, or moving it just 2 feet (.6 m) to a
new location can significantly improve the transmission.
For outdoor use, place the base near a window facing the outdoor
area where the handset will be used (see the figure below). Do not
install the base where it will be exposed to direct sunlight.
