Description
Overview
This section should be performed on all shelf installations.
Tools, Test Equipment and
Accessories
Listed below are the tools, test equipment and accessories necessary to
perform the procedures in this section.

Screwdriver(s)
A screwdriver(s) with the appropriate head(s) is
(are) required for securing the mounting
screws, repositioning the mounting brackets,
installing the interfacing cables, and for setting
the circuit breakers to the OFF position.

ESD Wrist Strap
A wrist strap must be worn when handling
circuit packs. Use the electrostatic discharge
(ESD) jack provided on the shelf.

Multimeter (Optional)
The voltmeter must be capable of measuring
DC voltage in the 40 to 60 volt range. The use
of the voltmeter is optional since the shelf will
alarm or shut down if the proper voltage is not
supplied.

Personal Computer (PC)
Required to run the WaveStar™ CIT software.
See PC Minimum Requirements (page 3-2).

CIT RS-232 Interface
Cable
8-ft. long RJ45 to 9-pin D-sub serial cable
(Comcode 848748869). Required to connect
the PC to the CIT jack on the front of the
SYSCTL circuit pack.
