Important!
If response is not correct, replace the optics module.
If the optics module fails when inserted, and another optics module
in the shelf fails at the same time, replace the newly-installed optics
module. Each optics module has unique internal data for warranty
purposes. If this data for any reason is not unique, both optics
modules with the duplicated information will be declared failed.

Step 5
To test the optical port on the installed OLIU, loop back the optical
port.

Step 6
Remove the light guide jumper used to loop back the port and the LBO,
if required.
Result:
The
FAULT
LED(s) on the OLIU start flashing. The MN
and NE LEDs are lighted on the SYSCTL circuit pack.

It is recommended that the process plug be installed into the
optical ports on the pluggable optics module to maintain
cleanliness until the optical fiber is connected.

Always reinstall the process plug into the optical ports on the pluggable
optics module to maintain cleanliness.

From the System View window, select
Configuration > Update System
> Update All
