Step 4
Click
Send
to issue the command.
The Response Window will display a response with a COMPLD
message and all of the DS3 provisioning information.
If the ports were somehow provisioned for EC1, the information will
not be retrieved with the rtrv-t3 command. If you suspect that a port has
in fact been provisioned for EC1, this may be verified with the rtrv-ec1
command, entering the same parameters as the rtrv-DS3. If any of the
ports need to be provisioned for DS3, continue to the next step,
otherwise skip Step 5 and continue to Step 6.

Step 5
To provision port to DS3, scroll thru the command builder window and
choose the ent-t3(sb). This is the spec block option for the command
and will allow you to change the DS3 provisioning.
Under the
Parameters
section, click on
{b}-{all}
under the
<T3AID>
column. Double click on {b} and choose the Function Group where the
LNW16 is located.
Choose EIF = DS3 and verify the other parameters such as framing
format (M13).
Click
Send
to issue the command.
Result:
The
Response Window
should display the command
followed by a
COMPLD
indication.
You may verify the parameters with the rtrv-t3 command, which should
now show the DS3 information for that port.

Step 6
Repeat Step 1 through Step 4 for each Function Group equipped with
LNW16 circuit pack(s) by double clicking on the
b
in the
{b}-{all}
parameter and clicking the letter associated with the Function Group to
be queried from the pull down menu that appears.
Transmission Test
Perform the remaining steps in this procedure for all Function Groups
equipped with LNW16 (12DS3/EC1) or LNW39 (DS1/DS3/16/3)
circuit packs.

Step 7
Set the DS3 test set to transmit and receive a framed Pseudo Random
Bit Stream (PRBS) DS3 test signal CBIT or M13 (M13 is default).
M13 should be used to test LNW39 (DS1/DS3/16/3).
