Table 8-33. Field Values for the VBR-to-ATM _SPVC Connection Window
Field Names
Values
Description
Interface Side A
The VBR side of the connection that will send and receive
signals.
Interface Side B
The ATM side of the connection that will send and receive
signals.
Slot
Variable
depending on
chassis type
The slot number on the module for which you are creating
a connection.
Port
Range: 1–30,
depending on
the module
selected
The port number on the module for which you are creating
a connection.
Channel
Range: 1–32,
depending on
the module
selected
The channel number on the module for which you are cre-
ating a connection.
Peak Cell Rate
(cps)
1 (default)
Peak cell rate (PCR) for all cells with both the CLP=0 bit
and the CLP=1 bit. The value you set is the maximum
allowed cell transmission rate (cells per second) for all cells
both high and low priority, as allowed by your traffic con-
tract.
When setting this value, take into account the line rate for
the module and the amount of bandwidth you are setting
up for each interface for the module. Refer to the ATM UNI
3.1 specifications for more information.
If you select the value
SimplexA2B
in the
Traffic Flow
field, set the value of this field to
0
. The value in this field
should be greater than the Sustained Cell Rate field.
Sustained Cell
Rate (cps)
(display only)
1 (default)
Sustainable cell rate (SCR) with CLP=0 (high priority) cells
or the peak cell rate with CLP=0 cells.
When setting this value, take into account the line rate for
the module and the amount of bandwidth you are setting
up for each interface for the module. Refer to the ATM UNI
3.1 specifications for more information.
If you select the value
SimplexA2B
in the
Traffic Flow
field, set the value of this field to
0
. The value in this field
should be less than the Peak Cell Rate field.
Traffic Flow
Default: Duplex
SimplexA2B,
Simplex B2A
Direction of flow of data traffic in this connection.
