Changing the Automated Attendant Day and Night Greeting
The Day Greeting plays for callers when the Night Service button is OFF. The Night
Greeting plays when the Night Service button is ON. If the Touch-Tone Gate is ON,
the both greetings should ask callers to enter [

], before the Main Menu plays. If
callers do not press [
1
], the system transfers them to the System Operator, the
General Mailbox or disconnect their call, depending on the Dial 0 / Timeout Option.
To change the Day Greeting, change the script on Form 5: Day Greeting and Menu,
to change the Night Greeting, change the script on Form 6: Night Greeting and
Menu, and follow the instructions below:

Access the Administration Main Menu as described in an earlier section.
The system plays the system programming options.

Press [

] for System Greeting.
The System Greeting Menu plays.

Press [

] for Automated Attendant Greetings.
The Automated Attendant Greetings Menu plays.
4 .
Choose:
— Press [

] to change the Day Greeting.
The Day Greeting Menu plays.
— Press [

] to change the Night Greeting.
The Night Greeting Menu plays.

Press [

] to record the greeting. The message plays:
Record at the tone
6 .
Lift the handset and record the greeting (up to ten seconds).
— Make the greeting as brief as possible.
— If the Touch-Tone Gate is ON, you must tell callers to press [

].
7 .
Press [

] after recording the greeting.
