Extension Coverage

Call an extension which has VMS Cover turned ON.
Do not answer the called extension.
After three rings the Call Answer Service answers, (after approximately 5
rings) you should hear the Call Answer Greeting (or the subscriber’s personal
message).
Repeat this procedure for every extension that has VMS coverage.
CO Line Coverage

Call in on a Line assigned to the VMS Line coverage option.
Do not answer the called Line.
After 5 ringas, the Call Answer Service answers and you should hear one of
the following:
— If the line has an “Owner”, the owner’s greeting should prompt you to
leave a message in his or her mailbox.
— If the line does not have an owner, the prompt should tell the you to
leave a message in the General Mailbox.
Repeat this procedure for every line assigned to the VMS Line coverage
option.
