The components of a window include:
•
Title — The title describes the information contained within the window, or
the tasks you can accomplish using it. In this book, titles are shown with
the first letter of each word capitalized, followed by the word
window
, such
as
Voice Equipment window
.

Scroll Indicator — The scroll bar indicates whether there is additional text
to be displayed. The
indicates there is more information to view below
what is presently shown. The
indicates there is more information to
view above what is currently displayed. Not every window has a scroll
indicator.
•
Fields — Fields are the areas on a window where you enter information.
For example, in
Figure 6 on page 3
the fields are
Channel Numbers
,
Service Name
, and
Startup Service
. Use the
TAB
or
E NT E R
keys to
move through the fields in succession.
Menus do not have fields.
