After you enter the erase
command, the system displays the following
message, asking you to confirm the command before each phrase is erased:
Do you want to erase phrase <phrase#>? (y/n)
If the “all” option is used for phrases, the system prompts you only
once
to
confirm the command:
Are you sure you want to erase ALL phrases from
talkfile <talkfile#>? (y/n)
If the specified phases does not exist, the system displays:
Phrase <phrase#> does not exist in talkfile
<talkfile#>
No action taken.
When the system has deleted the phrase or phrases, the system prompt is
displayed.
Note:
The erase command removes a phrase from the SPEECHDIR
default directory, which is /home2/vfs/talkfiles.
Example
The following command erases phrase 174 from talkfile 23.
