Add Digroups C and D to an In-Service RT System
for Any Feature Package

NOTE:
This procedure covers adding digroups C and D to an in
service RT system. This procedure is used for
any feature
package equipage of the RT system.
This procedure assumes the following:
• Digroups AB of the RT system are in service.
• The outside cable pairs are not closed through to the RT so
that the new digroup(s) are isolated from the digital and
derived lines.
• Personnel at the central office are notified that alarms may
come in as a result of these Steps.
This procedure contains instructions concerning the installation of
the various units into the system RT channel bank assembly
shelves, and for verifying that the units are operating properly.
2.
Get support apparatus listed:
• 216-type tool (80-type cabinet only),
• Special key (allen-type wrench) - COMCODE 846244168
(51-type and 80-type cabinet only),
• Digital multimeter (DMM) with an accuracy of 1.0% and an
AC/DC input impedance of

1 megohm.
