NOTE:
All LIUs in the same system should have identical option
switch settings.
NOTE:
FPB Mode 2 does not require an LIU in LIU-D slot. FPD
requires a TCU in LIU-D slot.
Install DS1 LIU in LIU-D slot in facility shelf after making option,
equalizer, and transmit pad settings for FPA, FPB Mode 1, FPC,
FPC-AutoCut, or FPF.
11. If protection switching is being added, install associated LSU (line
switch unit) in facility shelf. Otherwise, proceed to Step 13.

Install associated DS1 protection LIU (if required) in LIU-P slot in
facility shelf after making option, equalizer, and transmit pad set-
tings.
13. Perform RT indicator test.
14. Update office records.
15. Perform End-to-End tests in 363-205-406 TOP when required.
