Perform End-to-End Test When Converting a Feature
Package B Mode 2 to Mode 1
SUMMARY: Have COT personnel remove TAU circuit packs then install LIU circuit
packs in LIU slots B and D. Verify that when the COT personnel installs the LIU, the
RT LIU CLF indicator goes off and the digroup alarms clear. If a FPB COT is
connected to the RT (not
SLC-96 COT), alarms clear after the TRUs are installed.
This procedure assumes the system is
universal. If the system is integrated, the
switching personnel will have to remove service on all digroups before converting to
Mode 1. As switching personnel restores service to the digroups, verify that the RT
digroup alarms clear.
1.
If the central office is a FPB COT proceed to Step 13.
2.
Request COT personnel to remove TAU circuit packs.
Response:
Digroups A and C alarms clear on BCU.
If protection line is available, digroup B switches to protec-
tion.
3.
Request COT personnel to install LIU circuit packs in LIU B slot.
Response:
Digroup B alarms clear on BCU.
If protection line is available, digroup D switches to protec-
tion.
4.
After COT installs LIU B, did LIU B CLF and BCU B indicators go off?
If NO, then continue with Step 5.
If YES, then proceed to Step 8.
