Checking daughter card status

The Stinger unit creates a

trunk-daughter-dev

 profile for the daughter card of a trunk

module when the module is initialized. This profile provides read-only information
about type of daughter card installed and its operational status.

The following display shows the

trunk-daughter-dev

 parameters for the daughter

card of an OC12-ATM module:

[in TRUNK-DAUGHTER-DEV/{ shelf-1 trunk-module-1 1 }]
device-address* = { shelf-1 trunk-module-1 1 }
device-state = trunk-daughter-oper-state-up
trunk-daughter-type = trunk-daughter-oc12
previous-trunk-daughter-type = trunk-daughter-none
transceiver-info = { reach-none interface-oc12 }

Parameter

Indicates

device-address

Physical location of the Stinger system’s OC12-ATM
module, on which the daughter card is mounted.

device-state

The operational state of the daughter card. One of the
following will be displayed:

trunk-daughter-oper-state-down

—The device is

in a non-operational state.

trunk-daughter-oper-state-up

—The device is

operating normally.

trunk-daughter-oper-state-none

—The device is

not detected, the daughter card slot is empty.
