The following pages will introduce you to a number of standard
configuration scenarios that may serve as an example and/or
guideline for designing your wireless LAN solution.

The default configuration of the WaveLAN/EC-S device is set to
connect automatically to an Infrastructure network (a WaveLAN
network that includes WavePOINT-II access points).
To view or modify the factory-set defaults your WaveLAN/EC-S
device, please consult Chapter 3 ”Configuring WaveLAN/EC-S” or
Chapter 4 ”The Built-in Configurator”.
Ethernet Port Topologies

When connecting the WaveLAN/EC-S to the Ethernet interface of
your computing device, you have the option to connect it to either:

An Infrastructure Network (described on page 1-7), or
■
An Independent Network (described on page 1-9).
