Independent Network

In Independent Networks, a limited number of wireless stations
can exchange communications “peer-to-peer”, without intervention
of a WavePOINT-II access point: i.e. typically this type of network
does not include WavePOINT-II devices.
All devices within an Independent Network communicate directly
with each other and are configured for “Ad-Hoc Demo” mode.

The WaveLAN/EC-S can be configured for “Ad-Hoc Demo” mode
and associate with other WaveLAN IEEE devices in an Ad-Hoc
network, as pictured in Figure 1-5.
In order to create an Ad-Hoc network, you will need to make some
minor changes to the configuration of your WaveLAN/EC-S.
Please refer to the “Introduction” on page 3-1 for the configuration
requirements necessary to configure your WaveLAN/EC-S for “Ad-
Hoc Demo” mode.
