This is the standard binding for the “connect” socket as used by
the passthrough2 protocol (see page 4-35). It can also be used in
combination with the standard passthrough protocol, as an
alternative to the bindings

tcpbind1a
described above.

protocol
These examples use the TCP protocol, so the
value of this entry is “tcp”.
■
ip address
This parameter is only used to enter the IP Address
of a remote WaveLAN/EC-S device in one of the
following situations:
■
You are using the standard passthrough protocol
to setup a point-to-point replacement for a serial
cable as described in page 4-42.
■
You are using the passthrough2 protocol and
wish to identify the IP Address for the “connect”
socket of tcpbind1a.
■
remote tcp port
When using the passthrough2 protocol, this
parameter identifies the TCP port number of the
“connect” socket. This value should match the
value for “local tcp port” of the remote link partner.
■
reopen after
shutdown
Same as for tcpbind1a (see page 4-39).
■
socket connect
data
Same as for tcpbind1a (see page 4-39).
The default value is “Hello!” 0xd 0xa.
■
serial connect
data
Same as for tcpbind1a (see page 4-39). Default
value is “Connected to socket.” 0xd 0xa.
■
serial
disconnect data
Same as for tcpbind1a (see page 4-39). Default
value is “Disconnected from socket.” 0xd 0xa.

serial fail data
Same as for tcpbind1a (see page 4-39). Default
value is “Connection failed.” 0xd 0xa.
