Lucky Reptile HEAT Thermo Cable
is a single
wire silicon heater cable with an input voltage of
230V 50Hz. It is a flexible heating element and is very versatile
in its use. Lucky Reptile HEAT Thermo Cable can be used inside
the terrarium and can be covered with substrate (e.g. sand) and
cage furniture.
Installation:
Place the cable on the surface you want to heat. We recommend
to lay the cable in loops to achieve optimal heat transfer. Make
sure that no part of the cable is in contact with another part,
as it can melt down. Use heat conducting thermal tape to attach
the cable if necessary. Make sure that the animals are not able
to get in direct touch with the heater cable and cannot damage
it. Cover the heater cable with a suitable protection (e.g. tiles),
so that the animals cannot reach the cable.
Attention:
If you want to place the
Lucky Reptile HEAT
Thermo Cable
under the terrarium, make sure that the heat
is not insulated below the terrarium, as it can crack the bottom
of a glass terrarium if it overheats. You can prevent this for
example by putting small feet below the terrarium. It is not
recommended to use this product with wooden substrate as
these are good insulating materials and can lead to overhe
-
ating. Danger of fire!
Keep in mind, when installing the heater cable, that many ani-
mals need heat gradients inside the terrarium. We recommend
covering only about two thirds of the terrarium with the heater
cable, in order to offer the animals cooler places to hide.
To prevent the terrarium from overheating, we recommend
using the heater cable with a suitable thermostat
(
e.g. Lucky Reptile Thermo Control 2
).

Safety Instructions:
• Make sure that you use the heater cable with the correct vol

• Before connecting the cable to the power line, check that neit

her cable nor plug are damaged. Do not use the cable if you
spot any damages. The cable or the plug cannot be repaired;
in case of damage the whole device has to be replaced.
• The cable is double insulated; grounding is not provided.
• The cable is for indoor use only.
• Generally it should be verified if the device is applicable for
the application at hand before putting it into operation!
• The cable is water proof and can be used inside a terrarium.
The use in water is not recommended due to the voltage.
• For your safety it is important to connect the heater cable to
a earth leakage circuit breaker.
• Do not cover the cable with heat insulating material (Styro
-
foam, wood substrate). Danger of Fire!
• Warning: Disconnect the cable before handling; if the plug
or the socket get wet, disconnect the circuit breaker before
unplugging the cable.
• Keep the cable away from children’s reach by appropriate
means.
Warranty
The warranty expires in case of modification and repair
attempts as well as damaging by force or inappropriate usage.
A manufacturer warranty of 2 years is granted on this device.
Neither a guarantee nor any liabilities for detriments or conse-
quential damages in relation with this product will be assumed.
Repair, amendments or exchange for a replacement are at the
manufacturer’s discretion.
