Installation, Operation and Maintenance Instructions
Weather-proof louvre, horizontal,
WSG-H3 for flat roof
Basically, avoid any damage caused by external influences.
Do not lift the louvre by the blades. Louvres with a maxi-
mum weight of 50 kg can be lifted by their frame. Use the
ring bolts provided for suspension on heavier louvres. Do
not walk on the blades and never use them as foothold.
Any damage e.g. deformed blades, dents, impacts, frame
distortion etc. may result in inadequate water drainage
and undesirable noise. Therefore, report any damage im-
mediately to the supplier or the manufacturer. They will
then be able to assess whether there is any impaired func-
tionality and possible risks.
User information for the use of DIN 580 ring screws
Ring screws according to the aforementioned standard
primarily serve as load handling attachments for the per-
manent fastening on components such as engines, switch
cabinets, gear units, etc., and for their transport. In appli-
cation of multilegged slings, the rules, e.g. according to
DIN EN 818-4 must be observed.
Ring screws should be checked for firm seat and any ob-
vious damages (corrosion, deformation) before use. Ring
screws with deformations should not continue to be used
and should not be screwed back in. Any subsequent colour
marking applied on the ring screws (especially in red)
should be avoided to prevent mistaking them for high-
strength attachment points.
The load-bearing information applies only if
– the ring screw is twisted in completely with a sufficient
thread depth;
– the ring screw rests evenly and completely flush on the
seat area;
– the introduced forces from the base material can be
absorbed without deformations negatively affecting
safety;
– the blind holes are drilled deeply enough so that the
seat area can rest flush (according to DIN 76-1).
≥ 45°
→ 240 kg per ring screw
>45°–60°
→ 170 kg per ring screw
Avoid lateral pull!
With symmetric loads, it is assumed that
only 2 legs bear the load when multilegged
slings are used.
