Ready machined light logs and the other parts have been protective wrapped. If the item won't be immediately
built up, it should be kept indoor or otherwise well protected. The plastic wrapping should be kept around the parts
as far as the building time is current. Please arrange the package to be kept perfectly depart from the ground to
avoid absorbing the moisture. The base under the package must be straight.
Building instructions include part list and drawing of wall constructions telling the parts belonging to the shed.
Please check the contents with help of the part list and please contact the seller immediately, if something is missing
or defective (please read chapter 16.
. The parts must be well protected
against sun, rain and moisture of the ground before assembling. The shed should be built up as soon as possible
after opening the package. If the work will be interrupted, the parts must be protected against the weather effects.
When storing and working please remember, that timber is very porous material and need to be kept clean.
Please sort the parts near the planned building area leaving enough space for working (
).
Please check from your local building authorities, which building or planning permissions they require before
beginning of the building.
Note that some building experience and knowledge is needed when building up Lillevilla. If necessary, please
don't hesitate to ask some advice or help from someone professional.
The most important thing is the well done foundation. The bottom must be well levelled and completely horizontal.
The foundation and building must stay horizontal also after building up to function properly. You must make sure
that the ground lets water through very well and it's frost-resistant. Foundation must come down under the line of
freezing at the ground or freezing sheets must stop the frost, not to reach the foundation.
In all cases please prefer concrete plate basement (
). It shares load of the construction to wide area
and suits for all ground types, when the work is properly done.
Pillar basement (
), using light gravel bars or concrete pillars, is also often practical for many sheds.
There will be an equal amount of rows of pillar and foundation beams. Thickness of foundation beams (included in
the package) determines the frequency of pillars. The maximum span is 200 cm with foundation beams of 48 x 98
mm and max. 80 cm span with 36 x 60 mm beams. When assembling 36 x 60 mm foundation beams on their
sides, the maximum span is 60 cm.
You can also use a lighter type of a pillar foundation by fixing the foundation beams to light gravel bars or pillars
on tightened coarse gravel (
). Take care that the foundation won’ t sink.
All foundation types must be high enough to allow enough ventilation under the building. Foundation for optional
terrace must be made as carefully as the one for the building itself. Dimensions for making foundation are found
from own floor plan of each model. When it's a model equipped with threaded rods in question, before making
the foundation, please read section 9. Protection against storm.
