– Avoid working at low temperatures.
– When it is cold, make sure your body and your
hands, in particular, are kept warm.
– Take regular breaks and move your hands at the
same time to promote circulation.
Electrical safety
• The device may only be connected to a socket
that is correctly installed and grounded.
• The fuse must be a residual current circuit-
breaker with a measured residual current of no
more than 30 mA.
• Make sure that the power supply corresponds
with the connection specifications of the device
before it is connected.
• The tool may only be used within the specified
limitations for voltage and power (see type
plate).
• Do not touch the mains plug with wet hands!
Always pull out the mains plug at the plug and
not by the cable.
• Do not bend, crush, pull or drive over the power
cable, protect from sharp edges, oil and heat.
• Do not lift the device using the cable or use the
cable for purposes other than intended.
• Check the plug and cable before each use.
• If the power cable is damaged immediately dis-
connect the plug. Never use the device if the
power cable is damaged.
• If the device is not in use make sure the plug is
pulled out.
• Make sure that the device is switched off before
plugging in the mains cable.
• Make sure that the device is switched off before
unplugging it.
• Disconnect the power supply before transport-
ing the device.
Maintenance
• Before conducting any maintenance on the
device, disconnect the mains plug.
• Only those maintenance and fault elimination
tasks described here may be carried out. Any
other tasks must be completed by a specialist.
• Only use original replacement parts. Only these
replacement parts are designed and suitable for
the device. Other replacement parts will not only
lead to an invalidation of the warranty, they may
also endanger you and your environment.
Device-specific safety instructions
• Before operating, familiarise yourself with the
functional operation of the device by operating it
without a load.
• Juveniles under the age of 18 and users who are
not familiar with operating the device are not
permitted to use it.
• Make sure that the device is completely assem-
bled and according to directions.
• Check all screws regularly to ensure that they sit
tight.
• Check the rope, hook and all carrying elements
for damages, cracks or deformation.
• Make sure that no other persons or animals are
located in the work area before using the device.
• Always observe the working environment to
ensure that no persons or animals are placed at
risk while operating the device.
• Never work under poor light or weather condi-
tions.
• Before and after each use, check to ensure that
all screws are secure and none of the supports
are cracked.
• Remember the motion of the loads may increase
the weight and may exceed the maximum load
threshold of the device.
• Secure the load to be lifted as firmly as possible.
• Never lift loads over people or animals.
• Do not use the unit if the cable is damaged, knot-
ted or twisted.
• Never operate the device in a damp or wet envi-
ronment.
• Only lift loads vertically. Loads lifted at an angle
may swing dramatically.
• Ensure that the load to be lifted is neither
jammed nor tensioned.
• The user must ensure that the operators are
instructed as required.
• The operator must work in compliance with the
operation manual.
• The operator must initiate the load movement at
the smallest available speed.
• The rope must first be tensioned and must not
sag at the start of the load movement.
• Moving stuck or caught loads is not permitted.
• Pulling loads at an angle using winches to raise
and lower suspended loads is not permitted.
• Overuse of inching mode (e.g. to send short
pulses to the motor) must be avoided.
• Transporting persons is forbidden.
• Remember that moving parts may also be
located behind ventilation and venting slots.
• Symbols affixed to your device may not be
removed or covered. Information on the device
that is no longer legible must be replaced imme-
diately.
