Note!
On fi rst use or after changing the gas bottle,
turn the adjustment button to the dot after
the PILOT position and hold it in for 3-4
minutes before trying to ignite the patio
heater. This is because the gas will have to
press the air out of the pipe system before
the pilot can be lit.
Always remember to hold the adjustment
button in when pressing the igniter button.
Switching off
Turn the adjustment button to the PILOT
position.
Press the adjustment button in and turn it to
the OFF position.
Turn the gas bottle regulator to the closed
position, so that the fl ame symbol is facing
downwards.
Storage
Always close the gas bottle regulator after
use or in the event of malfunction.
Remove the regulator from the gas bottle.
The patio heater may only be stored indoors
if the gas bottle has been disconnected and
removed from the heater. Store the patio
heater in a dry location sheltered from the
wind and rain.
Never store gas bottle underground or in
locations with inadequate ventilation.
Cleaning and maintenance
Do not clean the patio heater with
combustible, abrasive or corrosive cleaners.
Powder-coated surfaces must be wiped
using a damp, soft cloth.
Regularly brush the burner head with a clean,
soft brush.
If necessary, purchase a cover for the patio
heater so that it can be protected against the
weather, wind and dust.
Specifi c information on stainless steel
Despite the name, the most common forms
of stainless steel can rust if the surroundings
allow for the formation of chromium oxide.
In those circumstances, the iron in the alloy
will start to rust and then it will be diffi cult to
stop. This particularly happens when there is
salt in the air, such as near the coast.
Stainless steel surfaces should be cleaned
with a damp coarse kitchen sponge and
a little detergent. Make sure to polish
the steel in the grain direction, not in
circular movements, and not in alternating
directions. Then dry the surfaces with a lint-
free cloth dampened with lukewarm water so
they dry more quickly without streaks.
Then, if necessary, wipe with a cloth dipped
in paraffi n oil or WD40 to give the stainless
steel a protective fi lm.
