Key Functions
Scan Key Function
The
Scan
key activates the scanner when a scanner endcap is installed and either of the
two Scan buttons are pressed. This feature accommodates both left and right handed users
comfortably.
Enter Key Function
The
Enter
key is used to confirm a forms entry or to transmit information. How it is used
is determined by the application running on the computer. There are two Enter keys on all
keypads except for the IBM 5250 Full
Alpha-Numeric
keypad which has one Enter key.
Field Exit Key Function (IBM 5250
Only)
The
Field Exit
key is used to exit an input field. If the field is an Auto Enter field, the
auto transmit function is activated. This key is present on the IBM 5250 specific keypad only.
