There are few changes in the Pocket PC version of File Explorer as it relates to the general
desktop PC Windows File Explorer options. Tap
Start | Help
to access File Explorer Help. To
exit, press the X in the upper right hand corner until the Start screen is displayed.
Infrared Receive
Access:
Start | Programs | Infrared Receive
Tapping this menu icon begins a connection to a sending device. If no connection is made, the
program waits for a tap on the “Cancel” button.
Note: The IR Port is specified as COM 3 and as COM 6 (depending on the type of IrDA
communication) and is a bi-directional half-duplex infrared port. To use COM 3 for Raw
IR communication, select
Start | Settings | Connections | Beam
and uncheck “Receive all
incoming beams …”. This action disables IrDA protocol.
Internet Explorer
Access:
Start | Programs | Internet Explorer
This option requires an active wireless connection and an Internet Service Provider. There are few
changes in the Pocket PC version of Internet Explorer as it relates to the general desktop Windows
PC Internet Explorer options. Tap
