Note: Please refer to the LXE Security Primer to prepare the Authentication Server and Access Point for communication.
Note: It is important that all dates are correct on mobile and desktop computers when using any type of certificate.
Certificates are date sensitive and if the date is not correct authentication will fail.
Quick Start
Using the browser on a desktop PC

9. Enter the User CA password when requested.

Root CA Certificate
The easiest way to get the root

certificate is to use a browser on a desktop PC to navigate to the CA (Certificate
Authority). To request the root CA certificate, open a browser to
http://<CA IP address>/certsrv
Sign into the CA with any valid username and password.
At the Certificate Services Welcome screen, click on the
Download a CA Certificate, certificate chain, or CRL
link.
At the Download CA Certificate screen, highlight the correct root CA certificate in the list box.
Click the
DER
radio button.
To download the CA certificate chosen, click the
Download a CA certificate
link.
Click the Save button on the
File Download
popup and save the Root certificate to the desktop PC.
Keep track of the name and location of the certificate as the certificate file name and file location is required in later steps.
