NEMA Type 4 Enclosure Reference Guide
Route the electrical wires to the terminal block.
1.
Disconnect power from the electrical circuit before working.
2.
Run power to the Enclosure and use a NEMA4 rated connector to route the AC
power cable through the opening located on the bottom left of the enclosure.
3.
Connect the wires to the terminal block, to the terminals shown below, following
established standards:
•
Route the line wire to the terminal marked L
•
Route the neutral wire to the terminal marked N
•
Route the ground (green or green with yellow stripe) wire to the middle
terminal, identified by the “ground” symbol,

4.
Run an Ethernet cable (if desired) to the Enclosure and use a NEMA rated connector
to rout the Ethernet cable through the opening located on the bottom right of the
enclosure.

Caution
If the NEMA enclosure is heated, all AC wires, RF antenna cables and Ethernet
cables must be secured so they do not come in contact with the back plate. The back
plate can get hot enough to melt the wires/cables when the heater is in use.
