Update of the FlarmMouse settings
6.3.1
Changing settings via PC Flarmtools
Please use the item
Settings
in the „Flarm“ menu
Besides other settings you will find the possibility to set the baud rate of the FlarmMouse
(e.g. if you connect it to a V7, you might use a higher baud rate than the default 19200bps)
Choose
“Navigation and Flarm”
under Messages, if you like to have NMEA-data
additionally to the Flarm data. This is necessary, when the FlarmMouse is used as GPS
source for navigational systems (V7, LX8xxx simple,…), graphical flarmdisplays
(FlarmView,…) or PDA/PNA (Oudie,…). For the FlarmMouse this setting is default..
6.3.2
Settings via configuration file
Settings of you FlarmMouse and declaration of flights can easily be performed by using a
configuration file, which is read by the Flarm during the boot process (flarmcfg.txt). Some
tools for a simple writing of such configuration files can be found in the web, here one
example:
