STORAGE
During summer, or when a snowmobile is not in use for more than
three months, proper storage is necessary.
STORAGE
Clean the vehicle
Add fuel stabilizer to fuel following the
product manufacturer recommendations.
Run the engine after adding the product to the
fuel
Lubricate engine (See
ENGINE STORAGE MODE
in this section)
Lubricate brake lever pivot
Lubricate rear suspension
Charge battery monthly to keep it fully charged during storage (if
equipped)
Block muffler outlet with rags
Lift rear of vehicle until track is clear of the ground. Do not
release track tension
CAUTION
Use appropriate lifting device or have assistance
to share lifting stress. If a lifting device is not used, use proper
lifting techniques, notably using your legs force. Do not attempt
to lift the rear of vehicle if it is above your limits.
NOTICE
The snowmobile has to be stored in a cool and dry
place and covered with an opaque but ventilated tarpaulin. This
will prevent sun rays and grime from affecting plastic compo-
nents and vehicle finish.
NOTICE
Fuel stabilizer should be added prior to engine lubrica-
tion to ensure carburetor protection against varnish deposits.
Engine Storage Mode
The engine has to be properly lubricated at storage for internal parts
protection.
