Step 1:
Hold the assembly in place and trace the outline of the bracket on the
windshield with a marker. Note that the wider portion of the bracket is
towards the ground.
Step 2:
Remove the event recorder from the mounting bracket.
Step 3:
Check the fit of the bracket against the windshield. If windshield is curved,
gently bend the bracket so it will lie flush against the glass.
Step 4:
Final Location Check: Before attaching the bracket, take a moment to verify
that you have selected a good mounting location and that the outward facing
view is through the wiper arc.
Step 5: Hold the assembly in place and sit in the driver’s seat. Make sure the event
recorder does not block the driver’s view of the road.
Step 6: Rotate mirrors, sun visors, wipers, and other objects near the event recorder
to make sure they cannot block either lens, but only to the extent functionality
of those objects is not compromised if used for vehicle safety.
